"America's Got Talent" contestant Nightbirde died at the age of 31, multiple news outlets confirmed.

PEOPLE cited a news site and confirmed that the singing competition's fan-favorite has died on Sunday. A source revealed that Nightbirde, whose real name is Jane Marczewski, died after losing her battle against cancer.

She showed nothing but positivity throughout her cancer treatment and tried beating the dreaded disease that had already spread to several organs, including the liver, lungs, and spine.

"Those who knew her enjoyed her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a witty joke for every occasion-even if the joke was on her. Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope she communicated through music and the strength she found in Jesus," her family said.

The "AGT" has not released an official statement regarding her passing. However, the show's host and judges already paid tribute to her and praised how incredible Nightbirde was as a singer.

"AGT" host Terry Crews wrote on Instagram, "We are saddened to learn about @_nightbirde's Passing. Our Condolences goes to her Closest Family & Friends in such of This difficult time. We Love you, Nightbirde."

"We love you. Rest in peace @nightbirde," Heidi Klum wrote.

Meanwhile, judge Howie Mandel called her an inspiration, writing: "(she) was such a bright inspirational light in all our lives.we must continue to live and learn from her words and lyrics. As much as I feel horribly about her passing I feel lucky to to have met, heard and known her."

Nightbirde's Inspiring Cancer Journey

The world got to know Nightbirde's talent when she joined "AGT" in 2021. During the June 8th episode of the show, she revealed that she wrote her audition piece "It's Okay" based on the cancer she had been suffering from.

Nightbirde also told the viewers that her doctor told her she only had two percent of survival. Despite such a depressing number, she kept her head high and looked at her situation positively.

"It's important that everyone knows I'm so much more than the bad things that happen to me," she said, as quoted by Gold Derby.

However, her "AGT" journey was cut short when she decided to exit from the talent reality show because she was "ill." Cowell reportedly talked to her and told her he would not do the show anymore if he was in her position. The judge said that the stress and pressure the show could cause her was not worth it.
