Jung Ho Yeon, "Squid Game" actress, sported a custom Louis Vuitton gown and hair ribbon during this year's SAG Awards.

On Sunday night, "Squid Game" stars Jung Ho Yeon and Lee Jung Jae attended the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, where the team earned four nominations following the Netflix series' success. The actress, who famously wore the green 067 tracksuit in the series, rocked her custom Louis Vuitton gown complemented with a hair ribbon.

While her SAG Awards outfit is glamorous and simple at the same time, the 27-year-old actress actually has a deeper reason why she opted to wear the dress.

In an interview with E! News before winning the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, the actress revealed that her ensemble was made based on traditional Korean fashion.

Her braid with a special hair tie was a nod on the Korean Daenggi, a traditional Korean ribbon designed using the same fabric as her dress.

Her hairstylist, Jenny Cho, further explained the style in a statement, saying that Jung Ho Yeon's overall dress was a nod to her motherland.

"The dress was so on point on how familiar it was to the motherland of Korea, yet how modern and cool it felt. I can't hide the fact that I was very emotional about how I got to be the one to style her hair into a modern version of the sleek traditional Korean braids and to put the Daenggi into Hoyeon's hair," she said, as quoted by PEOPLE.

Even her work as Kang Sae Byeok in "Squid Game" had been recognized at the 2022 SAG Awards. She beat other A-listers, including Jennifer Aniston, Elisabeth Moss, Sarah Snook, and Reese Witherspoon.

Seeing how she was able to secure the award despite being a Korean became a huge honor for her that she could not help but shed a tear during her speech.

"I have sat many a time, watching you on the big screen, dreaming of one day becoming an actor. I just want to say thank you so much," she said in Korean, as translated by her translator.

After successfully holding back her tears, she spoke up once again and thanked "Squid Game" for making her dream and opening a door for her.
