In another round of rebooting nostalgia properties, 1992's White Men Can't Jump is next up. It was announced by Deadline that Jack Harlow has scored the role which made a post Cheers Woody Harrelson a household name.

What makes this so exciting is that this was Harlow's first-ever screen test and he managed to impress the filmmakers and producers enough to nab the role on his first try. Now, if the name Jack Harlow doesn't sound familiar then let's get everyone up to speed. Attached to Atlantic Records, Harlow has made a name for himself in the world of hip hop with his songs Industry Baby, What's Poppin', and Nail Tech.

The film is being helmed by Calmatic, who is currently putting the finishing touches on the House Party reboot, originally made famous by the rap duo Kid N' Play. With an evident flair for what made the 90's so fun, it will be interesting to see how Calmatic brings these two fan-favorite properties into the present-day zeitgeist.

The film revolves around two basketball hustlers, one white, one black, who team up to score big cash by duping unsuspecting ballers on the streets of L.A. White Men Can't Jump was one of those perfectly out-of-the-box 90s films that helped bring about the careers of not only Woody Harrelson but Wesley Snipes and Rosie Perez. Not to say their stars weren't on the rise, but this slice of cinematic brilliance proved they were actors to contend with.

There is no release day as of yet, though we are curious to see how this new iteration will stand up to the original.
