Picture this: Andrew GarfieldRobert PattinsonEddie Redmayne, Jamie Dornan and Tom Sturridge all sitting by a hotel pool together, sharing one cocktail.

It seems like a ridiculous picture, but if you had gone to the Standard Hotel in Hollywood sometime in the early 2000s, that's what you very well may have seen, because it turns out that this crew of British Hollywood heartthrobs used to hang out together quite a bit. The gaggle of gorgeous guys frequently got called to the same auditions back in the day. Eventually - far from considering each other rivals - they became good friends.

As Andrew Garfield revealed recently in an interview with the Telegraph, this crew had a real Swingers thing going on.

"We'd wake up every morning and it would be 'Where are we having breakfast?' 'When are we going to go to the beach?' 'When do you want to play ping-pong?' We'd go to the Standard Hotel on Sunset Boulevard and order a single cocktail between us so that we could just sit there and swim in the pool."

Of course, being old friends, Garfield naturally has some pretty hilarious stories about his now-big-name buddies. He had one particularly good one about Tom Sturridge, and his audition for Zack Snyder's now-famous film 300:

"Tom tried to bulk up by wearing eight layers on his top half," Garfield recalls, grinning. "But during the audition they asked him to take off his shirt, so he had to spend four minutes removing all of these clothes in front of the casting people. It was the most brutal striptease ever."

We're sure he's got even more hilarious stories to tell - Garfield, listen up. People would kill to see a movie about these early days for you all. In about 15 years, remember that - and start thinking about who you'd cast as your young selves.
