Miley Cyrus is known for being unapologetic when it comes to her thoughts and opinions about some issues, and her recent statement sent fans into a frenzy online as it took a dig at her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

According to BuzzFeed, the 29-year-old singer performed at the Lollapalooza Brazil Music Festival in Brazil, where she invited two fans on stage.

Audience members were shocked as the unnamed man kneeled and proposed to his boyfriend.

Cyrus appeared excited as she waved her finger and screamed, "Yas! Forever, B****!" before adding "congratulations!"

However, the singer also took the opportunity to take a dig at Hemsworth, saying, "Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine. Mine was a f****** disaster!"

Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth's Relationship Timeline

The former couple met on the set of their film "The Last Song," a movie adaptation of the famed Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name.

According to Glamour Magazine, the pair started dating at the time of their shooting. After they wrapped up filming, the couple were seen locking lips at the Nashville airport.

Engagement rumors started circulating in 2012 after fans noticed Cyrus wearing a ring, but she clarified in a tweet that she's not getting married soon as she's not engaged. She explained that she's been wearing the accessory for months, and it didn't mean anything.

However, they confirmed their engagement in June that year, saying they're looking forward to a "life of happiness."

In 2013, the public speculated that the wedding had been called off after the singer was photographed without her ring.

Numerous reports state that they postponed their plans but are still engaged. However, Cyrus unfollowed Hemsworth on Twitter before confirming their engagement was off.

They got back together in 2017, and several outlets reported that they tied the knot in a secret ceremony.

Their marriage didn't last after they announced they were breaking up again. A year after the secret wedding, lawyers have reportedly reached a settlement in their divorce case, stating that their split was marked by "significant bitterness on both sides."

Their divorce was finalized in January 2020.
