A video of Will Smith slapping another person publicly went viral after his blunder with Chris Rock at Oscars 2022.

The past shocking moments in Oscars history have been outshined by the recent public bout between Smith and Rock. While it has since been a talk across the globe recently, it was not actually the first time the actor ever slapped a person publicly.

Amid the Chris Rock slap controversy, a past video of Smith slapping a reporter during the Moscow premiere of "Men In Black 3" resurfaced. The incident, which happened in 2012, started when a reporter attempted to kiss him during a red carpet event.

In the now-viral video, Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk hugged Smith and kissed him on both cheeks. The 53-year-old actor then pushed him away before slapping him on his cheek.

Smith can be heard asking, "Hey man, what the h*** is your problem?" before telling the other reporters that he tried kissing him on his mouth. He also said that the reporter was lucky that he did not try to punch him.

Smith recounted the moment during an interview on "The Late Show With David Letterman" and said it was "awkward."

"We're doing an interview. He's a reporter, he says, 'I'm your biggest fan, can I have a hug?' So I go to give this joker a hug and he tries to lean in to kiss me... it's just awkward Dave!" Smith said. "That's what they were saying, they were like 'Oh no, we're sorry, it's just his schtick.' And I said that's why his a** got schtuck!"'

Although the past is already in the past, Sediuk compared Smith's latest incident to what he experienced years ago. He shared a collage photo of Smith at the Oscars and the moment he kissed him at the red carpet event.

"But @willsmith practiced on me first, only to perform his slap at the Oscars," he wrote.

Smith's Oscars drama began when Rock was presenting the best documentary. He suddenly joked about Jada Pinkett Smith getting ready to be part of "G.I. Jane" due to her shaved head.

Smith's wife previously opened up about her hair loss due to alopecia, but it remains unknown whether the comedian knew about it.

While Smith initially laughed, Pinkett Smith suddenly rolled her eyes and seemingly triggered her husband to come up on stage and smack Rock in front of the attendees.
