Chris Rock. was spotted in public for the first time since the incidents of Sunday night's Oscar Awards.

According to a video from TMZ, the comedian was spotted getting on a tour bus, getting ready to start off his Ego Death Tour. While the reporter on the scene tried to ask Rock questions about the night's events, the comedian made no comment and instead boarded the bus.

It is the event that has been dominated news cycles since Sunday night. During Chris Rock's set at Sunday night's Oscar Awards ceremony, Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. The joke bore reference to the actress's bald head. She has been openly struggling with alopecia, and Chris Rock did not know this. After the joke was made, Will Smith stormed the stage, slapped Rock in the face, and returned to his seat yelling, "GET MY WIFE'S NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!" Smith then went on to win the Oscar Award for Best Actor.

After the night's events, Will Smith posted an apology to Instagram. In the apology he wrote:  "Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night's Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally. I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness. I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us. I am a work in progress."

While many following the incident were appeased by the apology, Chris Rock's brother Tony Rock was not. When pointedly asked on Twitter if he forgave Smith, Tony Rock gave a response directly contrary to the actor's lengthy diatribe. "No."

According to an article on TMZ, Chris Rock has also not accepted the apology. While there were stories circulating that the two had spoken and made up, this has been discovered to be false information.
