Just a month after making their red carpet debut as lovers, Andrew Garfield and his girlfriend Alyssa Miller have reportedly broken up; what was the reason for their split?

According to a source who spoke to The Sun, the two have been together for a while before going public; however, it's been "really hard" for them to see each other because of their busy work schedules.

"On top of that, it became clear that there were some differences between them, and it was decided they are better off apart, for now at least," the source added. (via Page Six)

In addition, the insider said the pair was a "really beautiful couple," and things were great at the beginning of their connection, but they couldn't make it work.

Regarding Garfield's perspective after the breakup, the source revealed it was "disappointing" for the actor's part as he would love to take her to red carpet events of the awards season, but "it wasn't supposed to be."

Despite the fresh split, the "Tick, Tick... Boom!" actor is doing well and is doing his best to stay positive. The insider said he's taking time to focus on himself for a few months.

At the time of this writing, neither Andrew Garfield nor Alyssa Miller has publicly commented on the matter.
