Erika Jayne seems to be unable to take a full breath for more than a split second.

Currently embroiled in yet another legal battle, the 50-year-old "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" actress is being sued by Edelson PC, which is suing her, her business EJ Global LLC, and her divorced husband's law firm Girardi and Keese, as well as the company's lenders, for $55 million in damages.

While pointing out how she and her previous husband Tom Girardi flaunted their opulent lives in public, Edelson PC accuses the reality star of knowing more than she's letting on.

Court documents obtained by Radar Online allege charges of racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, receiving stolen property, assisting in the concealment of stolen property, money had and received, conversion, unlawful business practice under the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and deceit against clients.

As part of its comparison to a scenario from a John Grisham novel, the petition said that "Girardi Keese was nothing more than a criminal enterprise masquerading as a legitimate corporation."

The legal wrangling has plagued Erika Jayne ever since her ex-husband, Tom, was forced into bankruptcy in 2021 by his creditors after several of his burn victims, widows, and orphan clients claimed that Tom had failed to deliver their settlement payments. Because of pending litigation, Tom and Erika have not been legally divorced.

"Tom and Erika's all-consuming want to spend," Edelson PC claims in the docs, "was siphoning off millions to feed Tom and Erika's all-consuming drive to spend," which "financed a lifestyle so luxurious that Erika was a cast member of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'"

In addition, the court filings said that they pretended their wealth was their own, despite the fact that it had been obtained by defrauding "co-counsel, suppliers who had been long past due on payments, and - by far the most odious for an attorney - the firm's damaged clients."

The "frontwoman" position, according to Edelson PC, was played by Erika Jayne, who persuaded the general public that her husband's legal office was thriving and very successful.

According to the law firm, the reality star has continued to use her public platform to lie about her participation and let her ex-husband and others to "get away with it" even after being exposed.
