Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck Engaged But Fans Couldn’t Help But Worry — Here’s Why

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged for the second time around.

A spokesman for the "Jenny From the Block" singer-turned-actress confirmed the news to People magazine last week, after the 52-year-old singer-turned-actress disclosed her engagement in her "On the JLo" newsletter after being seen sporting a new ring.

In an evening email last week, she talked about her love story and sent a video of herself admiring a big green diamond on her ring finger.

"So I have a very wonderful and amazing tale to tell," she stated in the video.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's engagement wasn't their first. They famously dated for about 20 years before getting engaged for the first time in November 2002.

However, the power couple at the time parted in 2004, but revived their relationship in 2021, much to their fans' astonishment. They've been hot and heavy since then.

While supporters are pleased for the pair, others are concerned and apprehensive about the unexpected engagement.

Several followers on social media are anxious that the "Hustlers" actress will call off their engagement with the "Deep Waters" actor once again.

One Twitter user shared their joy, but also admitted that they are afraid since they do not trust Ben.

"I'm excited for J.Lo because I adore her!" I'm just concerned about Ben. I don't have faith in him. "I'm afraid he's still immature."

"Ben, don't crush her heart again," another admirer said.

"Second chances come along just once in a lifetime." "Remember to cherish every moment," they urged.

According to a third source, the "Daredevil" actor was "mean" to JLo while they were engaged, which is why she broke up with him.

Meanwhile, people couldn't stop talking about Ben's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

"After their divorce, Ben Affleck put Jennifer Garner through hell and then blamed her and their children for his drinking."

A fifth person couldn't help but worry, "Does anybody think they'll marry?"

Jennifer Lopez married Marc Anthony after their unsuccessful engagement in 2002, and they had twins Emme and Max.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck married Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

After her divorce from Marc Anthony, JLo began seeing other people, including an engagement to Alex Rodriguez, which they called off last year.
