When Andrew Garfield's ex-girlfriend Alyssa Miller uploaded a photo of the two of them on social media, his fans and friends were perplexed, to say the least.

However, the only reason she shared it was to demonstrate to the public that she and the "Spider-Man" star were still on good terms following their separation.

According to a source who spoke to Page Six, the actress just wanted to make fun of the old photographs that were used in the press to report on their alleged separation.

The source said she was not in any manner pretended that they were still dating when she was there.

It was also revealed split was mutual, and there was no drama around it.

"She was simply weary of them using old images and wanted to demonstrate that they were amicable when they parted ways."

Additionally, the source said that putting their image together was intended to be "light-hearted" and to be seen as something like to a closed book, but that it was still intended to be nice and welcoming.

After their split, which was announced a few weeks before the Academy Awards, the 32-year-old model shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram with the message, "If you have to gossip, at least use a lovely photo." "Lol love you, AG," he wrote, before adding a blue butterfly emoji to top it off.

The photo she shared shows the 38-year-old British actor and Alyssa on their way to the SAG Awards in Los Angeles in 2022.

According to the site, another source told to them earlier this week that Andrew Garfield's buddies were "weirded out" by Alyssa's social media post.

As they said, "From the outside, it seemed as if she denied they had separated, although they had in fact parted." "I'm baffled as to why she would do anything like that."

The Sun was the first to announce that Andrew and Alyssa had already ended their relationship, with the purported reason being their hectic schedule.

"On top of that, it became evident that there were some disagreements between them, and it was agreed that they would be better off apart, at least for the time being." another insider told the site.

According to a different source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, the reason for their divorce included "job responsibilities," among other things.

When they were seen holding hands in New York in November 2021, several reports suggested that they had begun dating; more recent reports, however, have said that they began seeing one other in May 2021.
