Ryan Sutter shared how he has been doing two years after his Lyme disease diagnosis.

In the past two years, Sutter spent most of his time searching for answers to why he had been feeling extreme fatigue. He also dealt with health problems that led to two surgeries - one on his left ankle and the other on his right knee.

After going through months of testing and meeting specialists, he found out that he had Lyme disease, and it was triggered by mold toxins.

On Instagram, Sutter marked the second year since he first started feeling sick. He reportedly started watching bees as he reflected back on the challenges that tested him.

"People have reached out with their opinions, advice, diagnoses, support and questions. It's been overwhelming - both good and bad," he said. "I've been made aware of conditions I'd never knew existed and suffering in numbers that don't seem possible."

As he stopped giving his followers an update, the 47-year-old "Bachelorette" winner explained that he did not want people who suffer similar issues to assume that what he does could also work for them. Despite his silence, he confirmed that he is already improving.

With that, he offers people hope to help them realize that Lyme disease can be beaten. Sutter added that changing his lifestyle, diet, and outlook helped him feel better.

As of press time, he is said to be happy to be in the place where he is and pledged to continue encouraging others so they could find their spots soon.

Ryan Sutter's Journey Revisited

It all started when he tested positive for COVID-19 after being diagnosed with the Epstein-Barr virus - a disease that causes mononucleosis. The celebrity firefighter noted that because of these health issues, he suffered from exhaustion and dehydration that eventually weakened his immune system.

He told his wife during her "Better Etc." podcast that he spent months suffering from symptoms that even led him to assume that he had a Lymphoma. After undergoing tests, he revealed that he had Lyme disease that was worsened by the high levels of molds in his body.

"It seems to be that what happened is that my immune system was weakened through exposures to toxins and especially to mold," he said, as quoted by Fox News.
