Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finally got engaged again over a year after their unexpected reunion. The actress confirmed the news in her On the JLo newsletter, saying that amazing things happen whenever she wears green.

Indeed, things are doing great between them since they rekindled their romance last year. Their engagement came 18 years after they canceled their first engagement in January 2004.

As they are more mature now, a source revealed to PEOPLE that the couple is thrilled about the development and that they both want to make it work this time.

"Their relationship is different this time because they are older, more mature, and able to deal with any obstacles," the source revealed. "They are both taking their relationship very seriously. They want to make it work no matter what."

Meanwhile, another insider confirmed that, while Lopez and Affleck are now engaged, the duo remains contented with what they have. In fact, they are yet to talk about wedding details.

Lopez already acknowledged their growth compared to 18 years ago. The "Maid in Manhattan" star said that they currently live their lives in a way they can be proud and happy of.

Affleck shared the same sentiments in a new interview with WSJ magazine, saying that despite his failures, he managed to fix himself and scored his second chances in his work and personal life.

Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck Have Always Been Desperate Since Reunion

It was not the first time the couple talked about their desperation since their reconnection.

During the early days of their newfound love, Lopez and Affleck were said to be committed to making things work. The "Love Don't Cost a Thing" looks happier and more excited about her future since her reunion with Affleck.

She also opened up in her book "True Love," about the things she experienced with her failed relationships.

The actress and "Justice League" star reconnected when the actress was in the Dominican Republic while filming her upcoming film "Shotgun Wedding." Her co-star, Cheech Marin, also told HollywoodLife that she was happy all the time while recording the movie.
