Johnny Depp, after his fans' years-worth of bout against Disney over his Captain Jack Sparrow role, proclaimed that he would never return to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise anymore.

Before the defamation trial started, Deppheads - Depp's fans - continuously offered support to petitions that could bring him back to the movie franchises he lost. The petitions related to his "Pirates of the Caribbean" return took the most spotlight, but the actor himself dimmed the stage already.

During his cross-examination in the defamation trial against Amber Heard, Depp said that Disney would no longer have a chance to win and include him again in the multi-billion franchise.

Heard's attorney, Ben Rottenborn, sparred with him during the trial and asked him whether he would accept the Mouse House's offer again.

"The fact is, Mr. Depp, if Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film? Correct?" the lawyer asked, as quoted by Variety.

The actor, unfortunately to fans, agreed to Rottenborn's statement, completely cutting his ties with Disney.

Johnny Depp Only Wants Justice

His words shocked fans, especially since he is suing his estranged wife for defamation through her 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post. Depp argues that he lost his roles, including Captain Jack Sparrow, following the publication of the article.

Rottenborn asked Depp about the 2018 Daily Mail article, which stated that he was out of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise. The actor, in return, said that he was not aware of his ousting but was not surprised by the move.

"Two years had gone by of constant worldwide talk about me being this wife-beater. So I'm sure Disney tried to cut ties to be safe. The #MeToo movement was in full swing at that point," he said.

Depp added that he knew his career was done soon after the allegations emerged. He told the court that whatever the outcome of the defamation trial is, he would continue living for the rest of his days - as an actor or as an ordinary person.

With that, he reminded the court and jurors that he is suing Heard over her defamation, and not to regain the roles he already lost. In the end, he clarified that Captain Jack Sparrow is still there - but he is no longer connected to it in any way.
