Hailey Bieber shocked fans when reports about her being hospitalized last month made rounds online. Today, the model is ready to detail what happened to her on March 10.

The 25-year-old star took to her YouTube channel to share a video and detail the incident, saying she wanted to tell her story using her "own words."

While sitting at breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber, Hailey said she felt a "weird sensation" in her right arm, in which her fingertips started feeling "numb."

When her partner checked on her and asked if she was okay, she could "speak," and the right side of her face started "drooping" to the point that she couldn't get a sentence out.

"Immediately, I thought I was having a stroke," she said. (via People Magazine)

Fortunately, a medic was nearby to examine her as an ambulance was on its way.

The facial drooping lasted for 30 seconds, but she had difficulty answering questions. She added that her anxiety made everything worse.

When she was in the emergency room, everything went back to normal as she could talk and her arms felt good already.

Despite her fast recovery, she was not sent home by the doctors immediately as she was advised to stay the night to undergo several tests to determine what caused the blood clot.

Regarding a stroke checklist in the emergency room, Hailey scored zero and was no longer feeling any symptoms.

After the series of tests, it was revealed that the model suffered from TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), also known as a "mini-stroke."

Her scans also showed that she experienced a lack of oxygen to her brain because of the blood clot.

There were a few reasons why the incident happened to her: Hailey said she had just started taking birth control without consulting a professional. Since she frequently suffers from migraine, birth control caused issues.

The next one was COVID-19, she tested positive after spending a short time in Paris, France.

The following day, Hailey was discharged from the hospital, but her health woes didn't stop there as the doctors didn't know how the blood clot had traveled to the model's brain.

Hailey later got a second opinion at UCLA, where she was diagnosed with PFO after undergoing an ultrasound.

Under her doctor's recommendation, she underwent a procedure to close the hole in her heart.

Today, the model is not suffering from any symptoms, and she's been taking aspirin and blood thinners every day.
