Allison Janney has been officially set to join Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern in Apple TV+'s upcoming limited series Mrs. American Pie.

This is the powerhouse comedy trio that we didn't know we needed - but, now that's it is here, we know we could not live without it. Janney is joining the previously announced Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern in an upcoming Apple TV+ comedy, Mrs. American Pie.

Allison Janney has won seven Emmy Awards; Her on screen acumen cannot be questioned. We are certain any show she is in will be a hit.

The show is based off of a novel of the same name, written by Juliet McDaniel, and set in the 1970s: As Maxine Simmons tries to join the Palm Beach high society, the most exclusive club in the area, the show will follow what steps need to be taken to join the upper echelon of society - many of them borderline ridiculous.

Kristen Wiig will take on Simmons' leading role.

This show was created by the fiercely talented Abe Sylvia, also responsible for smash hits like The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Dead to Me.

With this resume behind the creator, and this incredible cast, we don't think it's too soon to start getting excited about Mrs. American Pie. After all, we know that Apple TV+ is not in the business of making anything other than hits.
