It's no secret that Angelina Jolie's main priority these days are her children, and she's not afraid to admit it.

On May 1, the 46-year-old mother came home after a trip to Ukraine, where she saw children who had been injured and those in need of assistance.

Despite the significance of her journey, a source with intimate knowledge of their family claimed she scheduled her return to the United States just in time for Mother's Day, so she could spend the holiday with her six children and grandchildren.

Her ex-husband Brad Pitt has six children with her, named Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, who are all from the film "Maleficent."

In an interview with Hollywood Life, a source said that the unique event is "something really precious for Jolie," and that she "wouldn't miss it for anything."

The actress-turned-philanthropist is also said to have taken into consideration arranging her newest humanitarian journey and making sure she returned home in time to celebrate Mother's Day with her children.

'They constantly go above and beyond to make things unique for her, from dawn to night, and she never takes it for granted.'

Despite the fact that her children are already grown up and following their own hobbies, Mother's Day is a unique occasion that would provide them with the opportunity to reunite as a family for a little period of time.

The fact that they put their own lives aside to think about her and spend the day together as a family is so lovely; it's one of her favorite days of the year and always highly emotional for her."

However, following her recent journey to Ukraine, she will find this year's special day to be even more emotional for her since she will be grateful that she and her children are safe.

Brad Pitt, the father of the children, will not be there on Mother's Day this year, as he has not been present on any previous Mother's Day in the preceding several years since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

In addition to working on their divorce settlements, the former power couple is still in the midst of their custody fight for their minor children.

Currently, it is unclear what the "Ad Astra" actor will be doing on Sunday, but there have been no reports that he was allowed to spend time with his wife's children.
