Christopher Walken has just joined the cast of Dune: Part Two.

Dune rocked movie theaters everywhere last autumn, fulfilling the dreams of many to see this classic science fiction tale brought to life. A powerhouse cast, including Timothee Chalamet, Jason Momoa, and Zendaya, secured the film in the ranks of the well-loved instant classics. Immediately after the first film premiered, everyone was itching for the next. That's how you know it is truly a work of excellence. Now, with everyone counting down the days until Dune: Part Two hits theaters, the franchise has given superfans smoothing else to hold onto.

It was announced today that the incredible Christopher Walken will be joining the already powerhouse cast of the movie. He will be taking on the role of the Emporer of the Universe. He is joining other previously announced newcomers to the franchise including the incredible Florence Pugh and the sensational Austin Butler. Pugh will be playing Princess Irulan while Butler is taking on the part of Feyd-Rautha.

Dune was an instant sensation when it reached theaters. It was nominated for ten Academy Awards and won six of them including cinematography, editing, score, visual effects, production design, and sound. It took home the most Oscars of any other film this year. This adaptation of Frank Herbert's classic novels by Denis Villeneuve was a groundbreaking success. We can't wait to see what comes next in this upcoming film.
