Earlier today, Comedy Central has renewed Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens for a third season. According to Deadline, the series did performed well in its second season, and improved over its first season performance, which originally aired in January 2020.

Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens was created and stars Awkwafina, the actress, rapper, and comedian who is known for her roles in Crazy Rich Asians, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Raya and the Last Dragon. The series follows a fictionalized version of herself growing up in Queens, New York. Besides Awkwafina, key cast members include B.D. Wong, Lori Tan Chinn, and SNL's Bowen Yang.

While not much information has been released regarding what the third season of Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens will be like, the show has been successful, with its season one premiere becoming the highest rated one for Comedy Central since 2017. The show also boasts an impressive list of guest stars, such as Michelle Buteau, Jaboukie Young-White, Laverne Cox, Simu Liu, Natasha Lyonne, and Margaret Cho.
