The official trailer for Beast starring Idris Elba has been officially released, and we are already on the edge of our seats.

Yes, this first sentence was a poem. That is how excited we are.

This upcoming film follows the story of Dr. Nate Samuels, who is played by Idris Elba, and his two teenage daughters - Norah Samuels, played by Leah Jeffries, and Meredith Samuels, played by Iyana Halley - as they travel to the Savannah and find themselves hunted by a lion. The trailer for this action-packed new film promises us the thrilling adventure we are all waiting for.

There is a certain anxiety that comes hand-in-hand with the feeling of being chased, and boy-oh-boy does this trailer capture it perfectly. The adrenaline of the crisis situation, coupled with the strong love the family evidently feels for each other immediately have us crying out for a resolution, desperate to know what is going to happen next.

Well, we will just have to wait for it to come to theaters, won't we? 

The rock-star cast has been making news in other ways as well. Leah Jeffries is now set to play Annabeth in the upcoming Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This television series is based off of the well loved books by Rick Riordan.

Riordan himself is incredibly involved in the upcoming work. Fans of the story are eager to see the exciting elements that this new screen adaptation brings. 

Beast comes to theaters on August 19th.
