Josh Duggar has been sentenced to twelve years in prison after a child pornography case.

Josh Duggar was one of the stars of the reality TV series 19 Kids and Counting. The TLC show followed the lives of the Duggar family, a gigantic family comprised of over ninteen siblings. Josh Duggar was one of the eldest of many children in the family.

In a court case that concluded just yesterday, Duggar has been sentenced to twelve years in prision after being convicted on charges of child pornography. He was sentenced in the Western District of Arkansas Feteral Court in Fayetteville.

Duggar was arrested back in 2021, after child pornography was discovered being shared on a computer that was linked to the former reality star. He was arrested in April of last year on the charges of recieving and posessing child pornography.

While prosecutors saught to get Duggar the maximum sentence which would have been twenty years in prison, Duggar's team, which was hoping for only five, argued it down to twelve.

This is not the first time that Duggar has been caught doing somthing like this. 19 Kids and Counting was canceled after it came to light that Duggar had molested four of his sisters, and a babysitter, when he was younger. By the time it came to light, authorities were unable to pursue legal action, as the statute of limitations had expired.

At the time, he said:

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably, for which I am extremly sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me adress the sitaution. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to recieve counseling."

Evidently, this was not enough.

We will keep you up to date on any more details of this case that come to light.
