Last Friday, the closing arguments in the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial were delivered by both legal teams.

On the final day of the trial, Heard's counsel, Elaine Bredehoft, was allegedly spotted sobbing, prompting some startling comments on social media.

According to a Twitter user who was there in the Virginia courthouse on the final day of the trial, when the jury left and the trial finished last Friday, Bredehoft was seen crying in the lavatory.

The Twitter user reportedly stated that when she exited the toilet, spectators of the trial attempted to "make her smile."

In the tweet, jamesfromcourt stated that they don't know why Bredehoft was sobbing, but that it must be difficult for the lawyer to deal with all of the public attention and scrutiny, especially while representing a client "she probably doesn't like" and claims to always "abuse her."

Elaine Bredehoft has had her fair share of difficulties in the famed Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial in recent weeks.

The lawyer was frequently and ruthlessly criticized on social media while the trial was being aired live and in real-time, particularly in the form of GIFs.

While everything was going on, Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez was asking questions and even handling circumstances that were judged more competent and professional.

The trial even got to the point where Bredehoft couldn't say a single word in front of the court or while questioning a witness on the stand.

When the cameras weren't filming, Heard allegedly got into squabbles with Bredehoft within the courtroom.

Elaine Bredehoft Gains Sympathy From Social Media

Social media users say it is unfortunate for someone as successful as Bredehoft to have her name destroyed in this manner after merely doing her job - representing Amber Heard and fighting for her.

But, because the internet despises Heard, it inevitably migrated to her.

However, with news of Bredehoft sobbing after the trial, many people are reacting differently to the latest discovery.

The majority of social media reactions apologized and sympathized for how they handled Bredehoft throughout the trial period.

"Don't weep! We all understand how difficult this trial has been for you, especially being verbally assaulted by [Heard] while attempting to do something with the knowledge you have," according to one Twitter user.

"We don't blame you, and we don't blame her. When this is finished, stand up for yourself."

Another Twitter user expressed their admiration for Bredehoft's efforts.

"You've been doing your work (the hardest job in the world, to be bold) for the previous few weeks. Everyone sees everything. We are on your side."

A third individual stated, "I simply want to wish #ElaineBredehoft the best after reading about her sobbing! Just because she works for a nasty customer does not imply that she is awful!"

"I can't image how much stress and mental and emotional torture she endured. I hope she isn't harmed because she is AH's lawyer."

A fourth explained, saying, "We are certain that you are not a nasty person. All of these memes are just for fun in the ghetto, and this is how young people interact."
