Previously, we reported about A-list superstar Charlize Theron's cameos in two superhero properties: Marvel's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Amazon's The Boys. Now, we finally get Theron's side of the story.

In an interview given to Variety, Theron gets candid and speaks about how she scored those two memorable cameos.

The first cameo came with The Boys. Of this opportunity, Theron revealed, "Seth [Rogen], The Boys executive producer] asked me a while back, and I will lay my body over broken glass for that guy and all of his partners at Point Gray, I absolutely love them, and we look after each other. I love the show. I think it's really smart."

However, after scoring the spot on The Boys, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige came calling. When Feige mentioned possibly starring in a midcredits scene for Doctor Strange 2, Theron was direct. She recalls, "I was very transparent, and they were just like, 'This is great.' I mean, [The Boys is] a satire. I think there's room for everything, and it doesn't mean anything other than people are interested in these kind of worlds right now."

It's great to see how gracious Theron is, and how she's open to appearing in films of all genres. In addition to playing two different superheroes now, Theron also recently hosted a block party celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, an organization the actress founded that invests in African youth and their ability to keep themselves and their peers safe from HIV/AIDS. We're excited to see what's in store for her next!
