Is James Corden banned from returning to the UK?

In April, it was announced that Corden would be leaving his late-night show next year, calling it a "good time to move on and see what else might be out there."

The famous comedian announced the decision to leave "The Late Late Show," which he started hosting in 2015.

"When I started this journey, it was always going to be just that. It was going to be a journey, an adventure. I never saw it as my final destination, you know?"

He didn't offer details on what course his career will take next, but many think that he will be returning to his home country and saying goodbye to the US.

Unfortunately, it seems like he isn't even welcome back on British soil because there's a campaign to keep him in the US which has recently gone viral.

Those who signed the Change.org petition argued that the UK already has enough problems.

The petition said that eight years ago, Corden left the UK for the US for his show, and since then, they had to "collectively deal with the impact" of many British problems, including Brexit and the pandemic.

However, they saw a silver lining: the absence of Corden in their country.

"But now he's leaving [The Late Late Show] and is returning to our British pastures. So I beg you, if you do one thing today, please, I implore you to sign this petition."

The petition also suggested that the "Carpool Karaoke" king may be sent to a remote island off Scotland or to Ukraine to help them out.

According to someone who commented on the petition, "Of all the issues we've endured over the past few years, this one hits home the most."

"We have enough to deal with. Bojo, Prince Andrew, cost of living, now this. Keep him out."

Some non-British citizens signed the petition, with a third person saying, "I'm not even British, but I feel your pain. Good luck."

But this isn't the first time a petition has been started for James Corden.

In 2021, there was a petition to keep him out of "Wicked," with over 108,000 people agreeing that he shouldn't be starring in it.

One of the main reasons James Corden is ending "The Late Late Show" is to reunite with his family back in the UK.
