Was a foul play involved in Jaylon Ferguson's death?

Baltimore Ravens is currently mourning following the revelation about Ferguson's untimely passing. The 26-year-old outside linebacker was reportedly found dead inside his home.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh penned a statement and informed their fans about the tragic event.

"Jaylon was a good-hearted, gentle person who loved his family and his team. He was a joy to talk with and be around every day. You always wanted to see and talk to 'Ferg.' Our prayers and our help go to his family. Our hearts are with his Spirit. R.I.P., Jaylon," he said, as quoted by ESPN.

Baltimore Police reported that its officers responded to a home in Baltimore at 11:25 p.m. They found Ferguson and the medics who were trying to treat him.

The athlete, who remained unresponsive, did not regain consciousness. He was later pronounced dead on the scene.

As of press time, the police said they found no signs of trauma. No foul play was also suspected.

They transported his body to the medical examiner's office to determine Jaylon Ferguson's cause of death.

Still, the authorities are currently looking at the possibility of an overdose that probably led to his death.

Ferguson's death occurred on the same day Tony Siragusa died. The NFL legend's cause of death is also unknown, but fans assumed that he seemingly died of a heart attack.

Fans Honored Jaylon Ferguson

Fans and organizations took their time to pay tribute to the late athlete and remembered his contributions before his tragic passing.

One fan said, "Between this and Jaylon Ferguson, it's been a rough day for Baltimore. I loved The Goose when he was in the NFL. One of those old personalities that felt larger than life itself. My sympathies are with you, Ravens fans."

Ferguson was a third-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2019. From there, he became part of the team's offseason practices in 2022.

His death was heartbreaking enough, especially the fact that his fans knew how much he worked hard to shed a huge amount of weight during training. He was also in the best shape, raising concerns about what truly killed him.

Outside NFL, Ferguson spent his time helping people in need. He extended his help to people in his hometown of Ruston, Louisiana, when they suffered from a deadly tornado.

At that time, Ferguson famously helped the search and rescue teams and assisted them in removing trees from the streets. On top of that, he gave the victims food and water.
