Thanks to Kate Bush's popular song, Netflix is apparently preparing a stage musical with a "Stranger Things" theme.

In connection with their ambitions, the executives of the streaming service apparently received a trademark for "live theatrical, musical, or comedy performance."

According to The Sun, the Broadway-style musical inspired on the popular supernatural thriller would be performed live.

For trademark protection for "Stranger Things," including food and beverage goods, Netflix submitted the necessary paperwork to the UK's Intellectual Property Office.

The future plans follow "Running Up That Hill's" meteoric rise to the top of the chartsfollowing its appearance in the hit show's fourth season.

The song by Kate Bush, which saves Sadie Sink's life in the fourth episode, is Max Mayfield's (the character's) favorite music on the show.

The number of streams for "Running Up That Hill" on Spotify has increased by 153% since the much-anticipated series debuted on the service last month.

The 1985 song, which made an appearance on "Stranger Things," promptly topped the UK charts this month, and it even went viral on TikTok.

In a separate interview, Kate Bush mentioned that her 23-year-old son Albert thought it was fairly great that her song was used on the program.

When questioned about her son's interest in the program, Bush said, "We are all! When the first season of Stranger Things premiered, our friends kept asking us, "Have you seen it?," so ultimately we binge-watched it and have been watching it ever since."

The 63-year-old British singer confessed she uses an "ancient phone" to avoid being inundated with emails, business calls, and messages when she's out and about as she explored her love/hate relationship with technology.

"Phones may be really annoying. In an outdoor concert, things are a little different, but we were attempting to create an atmosphere with our actions."

In other nations including Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, and New Zealand, "Running Up That Hill" is now at the top place. It even reached its greatest position in the US charts at number four.

Kate Bush will earn more than $1.3 million from the song's meteoric rise to the top of the charts.

According to a second source who spoke to The Sun, the resurrection of the company has her expecting a seven-figure payoff.

Since she wrote it and controls all publishing and licensing rights, almost all of the money goes to her.
