Brian Laundrie has been accused of lying about Gabby Petito and the murder case.

Laundrie-Petito case took over the spotlight again after the authorities unveiled the late fugitive's full suicide note which they found near his remains.

The eight-page notebook, which has since been reposted by news outlets, unveiled Laundrie's last moments and the alleged truth about the YouTuber's death.

He claimed that murdering Petito was "mercy killing" as she sustained an injury while they were hiking.

In a new interview with The Sun, private investigator Jason K. Jensen called Laundrie's letter full of BS because of "absurd" things it stated.

"I've seen and heard many confessions, including dying confessions, they are always guaranteed to be filled with half-truths and blame shifts. Laundrie's is no exception," he said.

Jensen called the late fugitive's statement a "farcical tale" since he seemingly attempted to clear his name and paint himself as a hero instead of a "villain."

The private investigator alleged that Laundrie's original plan was to leave Petito's body along Spread Creek, hoping that animals would destroy the evidence. He said that he believes he wanted everyone to believe he was being merciful and claimed Petito asked him to kill her.

Brian Laundrie Could Have Called 911 Instead

In the suicide note, Laundrie "detailed" that Petito was in extreme pain and caused him to take her life instead so she would no longer suffer.

"The temperature had dropped to freezing and she was soaking wet. I carried her as far as I could down the stream towards the car, stumbling exhausted in shock when my knees buckled and knew I couldn't safely carry her," part of his letter said.

He also said that Petito could not tell him what hurt, but he noted that she had a small bump on her forehead that got larger.

This statement, however, stirred more questions.

NewsNationNow's senior national correspondent Brian Entin wrote on Twitter that Laundrie should've had called someone or 911 to ask for help.

He revealed that he went to the spot where Petito was killed, and it was near the creek Laundrie mentioned in his letter. Per Entin, he had a cell service there, so Laundrie should have made a call.

There was also a van near them that he could have driven to save Petito. But in the end, he killed her instead, causing speculations that something is not truly right in the case.
