While appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, musician Machine Gun Kelly regaled Seth with the story behind how exactly he had broken a champagne glass on his head the night previous. Hope you're not squeamish around blood.

The incident happened after he was the headlining act at the Mainstreet Sellout Tour which happened at New York's Madison Square Garden. It was during the afterparty where an excited Kelly decided to celebrate by toasting the glass of his forehead. He told Meyers:

"You when you clink a champagne glass with a fork to get people's attention? Yeah, I didn't have a fork so I just clinked it on my head."

Seth was quick to rib MGK about his decision:

"In medicine, they call that 'asking for it.'"

The aftermath of the event was captured and posted on MGK's Instagram account.

Turns out he was making a speech to those in attendance saying:

"I don't give a sh*t."

With that he proceeded to try and clink the glass against his head. Still high from the excitement of the night, the bloody gash above his left eye didn't seem to get Kelly down. It was then that he began to serenade onlookers with a rendition of his hit song my ex's best friend with a cascade of red flowing from the wound.

Those in attendance for the blood soaked shenanigans were MGK's fiancé, actress Megan Fox, Avril Lavigne, who was part of the tour, and Lavigne's fiancé Mod Sun.

All things considered, things could have gone a lot worse if he had hit a couple inches lower, but if anyone could pull off an eye patch, he could.
