Nick Cordero's wife, Amanda Kloots, still finds it hard to live without the late star.

Nearly two years after Cordero died, Kloots shared what she would do on July 5. She told E! News that she planned to have a getaway to reflect and remember him on his death anniversary.

"I made it a goal of mine last year to be away on this day. To be by water, which is always a safe haven and therapy for me," she said.

Kloots' "safe haven" is one of the places in Italy where she and Cordero spent their honeymoon in 2017.

Compared to last year, the "The Talk" co-host seemingly feels more positive. For what it's worth, she opened up about a "roller coaster of grief" on the first anniversary of his death. At that time, she revealed that she could not even get out of bed.

She also told Kelly Rizo, who lost her husband Bob Saget in January, that she hopes to have an emotional reset this year.

Amanda Kloots Wants To Have New View on Nick Cordero's Death Anniversary

Kloots recent announcement came after she told PEOPLE her new view about her husband's death. From heartbreak, she eventually learned how to see it positively.

"The most beautiful thing in the world happened last year. It was the worst day. It was almost like, it felt like the day actually again. I laid in bed, and I cried my eyes for the good half of the day. And then my girlfriend called me, and she was like, 'Oh my God, I had the most amazing dream of Nick,'" she said.

Cordero died in 2020 after his long battle against COVID-19.

Although he took blood thinners to stop his blood from clotting in his leg, he eventually underwent leg amputation surgery and was put on a ventilator to support his breathing. Cordero spent months in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center before suffering from complications.

Cordero was tested negative for the virus multiple times, but his attending physicians were convinced that it was the root cause of his condition - from being unconscious to having his leg amputated.

But after his doctors tried all means to save his life, his body soon failed to respond to the treatments and ultimately succumbed to the virus.
