Snoochie Boochies! Well, the time has finally come for the final chapter in the Kevin Smith saga that is Clerks. The trailer for what is proposed to be the final installment, Clerks 3, has dropped and it seems to be a love letter to all things Quick Stop Convenience.

For those of you uninitiated into the View Askewnaverse, Clerks (1994) was a black and white, indie film from writer/director/actor and presently podcaster Kevin Smith. The film told the story of the day in the life of two 20-something slackers, Dante (Brian O'Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson), who work in an adjoining convenience store and video rental place.

Dante is a depressed mess who is obsessed with his ex-girlfriends while ignoring his present one, while Randal is his loud-mouthed wiseass buddy who is happy with his lowly station in life.

A sleeper hit with the film community, Kevin Smith built a mini-empire spinning-off his background character of Silent Bob, a weed dealer who hangs out with his "hetero-lifemate" Jay (Jason Mewes), a crass ball of energy who always has something to say. They appeared in almost every film Kevin Smith made after that, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma.

This third installment finds Randal questioning his life after suffering a heart attack (shadowing Kevin Smith's own health scare), only to realize that he wants to make a movie about his life rather than watching other people's stories.

Filled with all the vulgarity and quick-wit dialogue Smith is known for, this is a labor of love for anyone who has followed his career.

Clerks 3 is filled with celebrity cameos, including Justin Long and Sarah Michelle Gellar, while bringing back Rosario Dawson from the sequel. It is set to hit theaters in September.
