Controversial Kevin Samuels, a YouTube creator and self-proclaimed relationship expert, passed away at age 56. This happened back in May, but it is only now that the real cause of his death has been confirmed.

The fact that Kevin Samuels, age 57, died of hypertension eliminates any possibility of mysterious circumstances surrounding his passing, according to TMZ.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office has just announced that Samuels' death was caused by hypertension - high blood pressure. The ME states, ""Evidence of hypertension includes a heart whose chambers are thicker than normal."

The ME noted in its findings that Atenolol is used to treat hypertension, therefore it is possible that Samuels was also taking this medicine.

Samuels's passing is attributed to natural causes.

Samuels' admirers praised his straightforward, unvarnished approach to love and lifestyle programming, which earned him 1.42 million YouTube subscribers and an extra 1.2 million Instagram followers. But it is his unabashed comments now that are stirring some debate online.

Some find it fitting to celebrate his death, because he used to ridicule "fat women" when he was alive. For him to die of hypertension is just too ironic for them. Some said it's not the fact that he said fat people needed to lose weight, but the fact that he made his living out of making fun of them.

Critics said Samuels as a person who had attained notoriety for spewing misogynoir, anti-fat rhetoric, and bullying content, thereby contributing to a poisonous online society. He popularized the phrase "high-value man," which has since become the lingua franca of a subgenre of male-led podcasts that promote hatred against women.

There are those who however, are defending him now, asking how anyone can "celebrate" anyone's death, even if he  hurt many with his words while still alive.

Samuels was with an unknown woman at the time of his death and fainted in his home. The woman's 911 call was examined, and it was evident that she was desperately attempting to save Samuels' life by administering CPR.

According to the medical examiner's findings, Kevin's death was not suspicious, despite the social media chatter that suggested otherwise.

When news of his death first broke out back in May, there were already some who said this must be his karma even though it was yet unclear how he truly died. Well-known figures also got into a debate.
