Anne Heche's ex-husband James Tupper once revealed the concerning behavior of the actress.

Radar recently obtained the court documents that were filed and presented during the lengthy legal battle between Heche and Tupper. In the filing, the actor said Heche could have been using drugs when she claimed that he lost their $450,000 to sketchy deals.

"I truly do not understand this drama and hope it isn't linked to extended drug use. Anne accuses me of denying her access to the house by changing the locks and alarm code," Tupper said at that time, per OK Magazine.

He then explained that Heche's claims were not true since the codes still worked during the legal battle.

The drug claim resonated with the recent findings of the police amid the investigation into the recent crash.

For what it's worth, the police obtained a warrant to draw and run Heche's blood for a substance test. Law enforcement sources, per New York Post, told a news outlet that she was under the influence of cocaine when she drove her vehicle and caused a high-speed crash in California.

It was also noted that the cocaine she took might have contained fentanyl which made the situation worse.

Still, her representatives have long denied the role of drugs in the case.

Anne Heche's Latest Condition

Last week, Heche got involved in a car accident that left her with burns and injuries.

According to FOX LA, the actress had been identified as the one who crashed into a Mar Vista home and sparked a fire. Firefighters responded to the scene and found a 2020 Mini Copper causing a massive fire.

They eventually pulled the car out of the home after extinguishing the flames.

"The vehicle became engulfed in flames and the driver was transported to a local hospital by LAFD," Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee told CNN.

A man named David Manpearl reportedly attempted to save the actress but it was "impossible." Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed her to the hospital in critical condition as it took them an hour before they were able to "access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure."

Days after the incident, her representative told Deadline that she is in critical condition.

"She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident," the update revealed.
