The enemy's gate down and Ender's fate is up in the air during a new trailer for this Fall's Ender's Game.

Unlike the previous trailers, this promo focuses more on Ender's (Asa Butterfield) time at Command School and the manipulation of his life at the hands of adults. It even briefly touches on the character's internal struggle over who he is and whether or not he wishes to complete his mission, proving that the Summit Entertainment film will not be solely a shot-em-up action drama.

Narrated mostly by Harrison Ford's Colonel Graff, the trailer explains Earth's previous battles with the alien species known as the Buggers. Picked for his special intellectual abilities, Ender is sent into space to hone his skills at Battle School in preparation to help win a possible third invasion by the Buggers.

Colonel Graff reveals he is keeping a secret from his young prodigy, something that his fellow commanders urge him to tell Ender. While Ender baffles and amazes his superiors with the way he manages to get inside the enemies head and predict their moves, some fear that the job may be too much for the child to take.

Ender's Game is due to hit theaters this Nov. 1.
