Heath Ledger's lookalike, Matthew Scar, witnessed his popularity grow in the past years.

Ledger's fans are yet to wholly accept the fact that the "Joker" actor passed away in 2008. But they are reportedly seeing a "ghost" whenever they see the 30-year-old content creator, Matthew Scar, online and offline.

NeedToKnow.Online (via New York Post) shared the story about Scar, who looks like the late actor. He revealed that he never knew about his resemblance with Ledger not until a girl approached him 10 years ago and told him about his doppelganger.

His looks also helped him land a role in "Fatal Addiction" and has over 69,000 followers on TikTok.

"I simply got a call from a look-alikes agency, and they asked if I wanted to play as Heath for a movie. I am glad that, thanks to Heath, I've had the opportunity to be on a movie set, and sometimes it feels like I've been able to do stuff thanks to him, even if we've never met," he told the news outlet.

His TikTok videos receive compliments from his followers who tell him that he looks exactly like the late rapper. He even saw a comment saying he looks more like Heath Ledger than the actor himself.

Heath Ledger Alive?

Before Scar wowed everyone with his resemblance with Ledger, there had been buzzes that the actor was still alive.

Earlier this year, Gwen Stefani's bandmate, Tony Kanal, faced security issues when a man trespassed on his home. The man, whose name is George Leonardopoulos, claimed that Ledger was still in the house and insisted the family let him enter their garage so he could "wake" the actor.

It turned out that Kanal bought the home from the actor in 2005 before his death. The No Doubt member has since filed a temporary restraining order against Leonardopoulos.

Ledger died in January 2008. At that time, his housekeeper found him unconscious, prompting her to call Mary-Kate Olsen instead of 911. Since the actress was in California, she tasked a private security guard to respond to the New York City apartment.

The housekeeper then called 911, informing them that the actor was no longer breathing. Although the responders tried CPR, he ultimately died due to a toxic cocktail of prescription medications.

The New York City medical examiner's office confirmed his death, saying that the acute intoxication was due to the combined fatal effects of alprazolam, doxylamine, hydrocodone, temazepam, oxycodone, and diazepam.
