Sylvester Stallone made a shocking move after Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce.

The divorce is yet to sink in as Stallone recently showed his love for Flavin and their daughter through an Instagram post on Monday. The actor showed his true feelings by sharing a throwback photo of himself holding hands with his estranged wife, adding the word "Wonderful" in the caption.

It marked the first post he shared after Flavin filed for divorce a month ago.

Stallone also shared a throwback family photo featuring their three daughters Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia.

The photos came after a Hollywood source told PEOPLE that Stallone and Flavin are two different people who found their relationship "routine and irritating" after years of married life.

Meanwhile, a source close to Flavin said that the actor's impetuousness became a problem as Stallone did things without asking her. The 54-year-old model reportedly "got sick of spinning in a circle" due to the issues they had which, she felt, would never be resolved.

On top of these, both Flavin and Stallone were said to be unhappy for quite some time already but tried hard not to divorce until their children were all grown-ups already.

Flavin, on the other hand, said in the divorce filing that Stallone "has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets." She then asked that her estranged husband be prohibited from selling and spending their assets amid the divorce proceedings.

She also requested to have sole use of their Palm Beach home.

Sylvester Stallone "Shocked" After Jennifer Flavin Filed For Divorce

Stallone's recent Instagram post resonated with what a source told Page Six after the divorce filing. According to the insider, the actor was blindsided by it.

"You couldn't think of a nicer couple ... she's been visiting him in Oklahoma City, where he's filming. It sounded like everything was great," the source claimed.

There were also rumors that the divorce happened due to an argument they had over his dog. A news outlet said that Flavin called it quits due to Stallone's desire to have a new dog.

The actor, for his part, has since debunked the rumors and said that their marriage life did not end due to a "trivial" argument. He also said he would always love and have the highest respect for his wife.
