Margot Robbie named the person she wants to continue Harley Quinn's legacy in the franchise.

Ahead of Todd Phillips' "Joker: Folie à Deux" release talks about potential actresses who could play Harley Quinn. But Robbie herself chose the best person to play the titular character.

In an interview with MTV News, the 32-year-old actress said Lady Gaga would be the best actress to become Harley Quinn in "Joker: Folie à Deux."

"It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning is all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way, like, Macbeth or Batman always gets passed, you know, from great actor to great actor," she said.

After playing the role for years, Robbie said Lady Gaga would do something incredible once she plays the role.

The "Shallow" actress has not commented on the potential appearance yet. But Harley Quinn's version in Phillips sequel would explore her life in a different DC Universe compared to the world where Robbie's version leaves.

She also shared the official trailer of the film on her Twitter page.

The Hollywood Reporter, on the other hand, said that Lady Gaga had already entered serious talks to play the villain's love interest.

With that, Robbie and the next Harley Quinn could be in separate films at the same time.
