Taylor Swift's fans in Brazil want to give her a huge surprise ahead of her concerts in the country this week.

Brazilian Swifties are rallying to project an image of the pop sensation's "Junior Jewels" T-shirt onto the iconic Cristo Redentor, or Christ the Redeemer, statue in Rio de Janeiro, USA Today reported.

The initiative, started by @enchantediscord on X, formerly Twitter, went viral Sunday across Brazil with a rendering of the statue adorned in the tee from Swift's "You Belong With Me" music video, according to fan Anthony Roberto Justus.

Justus, who runs the fan account @taylorswiftbrazilians, spoke about the motivation behind the campaign on Instagram, emphasizing the fans' love for Swift's art and their anticipation of her upcoming concerts.

The initiative quickly caught the attention of Rio de Janeiro's mayor, Eduardo Paes, who responded to fans on X, expressing his willingness to explore the possibility. "Dear @taylorswift13 fans, I'm going to ask dear Father Omar to see if we can get this honor," Paes wrote in Portuguese, referring to the individual responsible for the statue's projections, according to a translation by USA Today.

Justus wrote on his account that fans promptly reached out to Father Omar, who welcomed the idea with "great joy" and said they await further communication from Swift's team.

While the Christ the Redeemer statue often serves as a canvas for various projections, Justus emphasized the importance of obtaining proper authorization to avoid copyright issues.

The statue, a revered symbol standing atop Corcovado Mountain, typically represents a point of reflection and peace rather than a space for advertising. The 98-foot art deco sculpture has been voted one of the "New 7 Wonders of the World" and holds significant cultural value in Brazil.

Despite the logistical challenges, fans view the initiative as an honorary gesture to host Swift, who is scheduled to perform her "Eras Tour" at Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, Swift's recent "Eras Tour" stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, made headlines as her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, attended the show.

Swift playfully altered the lyrics of her song "Karma" to acknowledge Kelce during the performance.

"Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me," she sang.

The couple shared a sweet moment backstage, with Swift hugging and kissing Kelce after the show.

The pair also had a low-key date night at Elena restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires, where they appeared to be joined by Swift's father, Scott Kingsley Swift, People reported.

An unnamed insider told the outlet that Swift and the NFL star "left holding hands ... and the crowd in the restaurant briefly cheered as they walked out."
