Meghan Markle made a cameo in an Instagram ad for a coffee brand.

The Duchess of Sussex appeared in Clevr Blends' latest commercial, posted on Instagram. In the clip, she plays an intern stacking boxes, working on a computer in a digital department, and making hot drinks in the background. In the final scene, she bursts out laughing when she walks toward the camera and fails to fist-bump a random man.

Several netizens quickly slammed Markle for her cameo in the ad. Many said it was embarrassing.

"Now this is SUPER CRINGE. From Palaces to Instagram Reels. Meghan Markle LEFT the Royal Family for this. How embarrassing," one user wrote while sharing the video of the ad. Another added, "I don't understand why she would do this. I have secondhand embarrassment from watching it."

"She left the royal family to be an extra on a marketing skit. At least she finally worked this year. That is one day for the year," a third person said.

"I think it's perfect. She went from 'Suits' to the British royal family and ended up strolling around parking lots and doing second-rate cameos for crap products. She is a masterclass of failing the epic social climb," a fourth user opined.

Another netizen said it was "super embarrassing" since "the company has an F rating with Better Business Bureau in the USA" and allegedly has no actual office or store.

While several users on X, formerly Twitter, seemingly mocked Markle for her latest appearance, many praised her on Instagram. For them, she was always hardworking, as the ad portrayed her.

"That new hire is killing it. [five stars emoji]on her performance review!" one commented. Another added, "The most hardworking person ever. Extend my love to her."

"Always willing [to] roll up her sleeves and do the work. We love a hardworking duchess," a third supporter said.

"That intern in the back looks mighty familiar... and is working mighty hard!" another wrote with a smiling face with heart-eyes emoji.

"[C]an you give us a curated #meghansfavorites list for the holidays? [I] am about to purchase nonetheless, but that would be lovely!" a fan of Markle wrote, expressing support for the coffee brand.

Prince Harry and Markle have been dubbed grifters and named among the biggest losers in Hollywood this year. In response, Sarah Hewson, TalkTV's royal editor, said they were already rebranding after the release of their one-minute charity work video for the Archewell Foundation.

"I think this is more about rebranding of Harry and Meghan and wanting to end the year on a positive note and a reminder to people of what they're actually doing in California," Hewson said. "That their year hasn't just involved spats with the royal family or car chases or court cases, for an example. And this highlight reel shows us some of the work through their Archewell Foundation, and that's the charity that they set up when they left the royal family."
