American singer-songwriter Selena Gomez recently reflected on the ideal qualities she needs in a partner in a magazine interview.

On Thursday, Vogue México y Latinoamérica published an interview with the 31-year-old singer titled "Selena Gomez announces new record material: 'I haven't written a single sad song for this album'" in Spanish.

In the interview, the Rare Beauty founder admitted that she needs to "start being attracted to the right kind of people" and then described her ideal partner.

Selena said she wants someone who listens to her and cares about her. And while it's hard to find someone like that, she added, "But I know when it happens, it will be great, and you will want it to be healthy," per an E! News translation.

She then dropped a bombshell by saying this happened with her new man, Benny Blanco.

Earlier this December, Selena defended her relationship with the music producer by commenting on a fan page's Instagram post.

Talking about her relationship with Blanco, she wrote, "He is my absolute everything in my heart."

Responding to a seemingly negative comment, Selena added that Blanco has been the "best thing that has ever happened" to her.

To another user, she replied, "...he's still better than anyone I've ever been with. Facts."

To a different commenter, she retorted, "...This is my happiest."

A week after defending her relationship with Blanco online, Selena posted a cuddle photo with her new boyfriend.

The snap she posted on her Instagram Stories showed Blanco, clad in a white T-shirt with his curly locks on display, leaning in as he affectionately embraced Selena.

Meanwhile, Selena, with a radiant smile, rested her hand on Blanco's shoulder.

In other news, Blanco gushed about his girl when chef Olivia Tiedemann made a comment about Selena when they filmed a cooking video together.

When Tiedemann told Blanco, "We've all heard the news you have a super hot girlfriend," he shyly responded, "We're not talking about that."

But he made a follow-up remark and said, "She's perfect."
