Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed a family vacation in Costa Rica before Christmas.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took their kids Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, for an out-of-the-country vacation a week before the holidays. The family of four spent a week in Costa Rica, exploring the regions of Zapotal, Nandayure and Guanacaste during their stay, which lasted from Dec. 14 to 20, Page Six reported.

However, the Sussexes' family trip abroad raised some eyebrows. Some critics pointed out how they comfortably enjoyed a vacation in another country amid Prince Harry's security concerns in the United Kingdom.

"So Prince Harry & Meghan Markle were more than willing to travel to Costa Rica for vacation with their children but refused to visit Harry's dying grandmother because of 'fears over their security,'" one wrote. "It was a pathetic excuse then and even more pathetic now. They are a disgrace. It's all about them, and to hell with the woman who gave them everything. I highly doubt the security on an estate with thousands of acres had any sort of security risk compared to a resort on [sic] Costa Rica."

"Well said," another user agreed. A third person wrote, "Exactly!'

Meanwhile, the Sussex supporters defended the couple from their critics. One urged those against Prince Harry and Markle to leave them be.

"Oh, stop picking on Meghan and Harry -- they didn't have security detail -- that is dangerous for people in their situation. YOU are not in their shoes -- so go find something else to do other than pick on people. Thanks," the Sussex fan commented.

Another netizen shared the photos from Prince Harry and Markle's family trip and called their critics "delusional derangers."

"And they were with their money, they did not need to be UK tax benches," a third supporter wrote.

Local outlet CRHoy.com also obtained photos from their family outing. The royal couple was seen riding in a golf cart with their daughter in tow. However, their son wasn't visible in the pictures.

Markle, 42, rocked a white button-down shirt, denim cutoff shorts and sandals. She also wore a wide-brimmed hat. On the other hand, Prince Harry, 39, dressed comfortably in a navy polo shirt and shorts.

In a clip reportedly captured on a different day, Markle was seen carrying Lilibet as she made her way from the luxury resort into an SUV and loaded Lilibet into the backseat. Markle was stunning in her black strapless dress, white walking shoes and fedora.

On the other hand, Prince Harry opted for a white T-shirt and olive green shorts. He also wore a pair of tan boating shoes and sunglasses. In the video, he seemingly gestured to the staff, presumably about their transportation.
