Meghan Markle and Prince Harry dominated the poll for the Most Disliked Celebrities of 2023.

Ranker's poll about the most annoying personalities in 2023 just wrapped up. Nearly 27,000 voters participated, and after weeks of dominating the survey, Markle officially topped the chart, with her husband trailing behind her in the second spot.

Oprah Winfrey was in third place, while Amber Heard, who was previously in the first spot, went down to No. 4. Ellen DeGeneres completed the top 5 of the list.

Several netizens were seemingly satisfied with the result. Many said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex deserved their spots on the list.

"Well deserved," one commented. Another added, "Finally a #1 rank for Messy! Got it on her own merit, too. Couldn't happen to a more deserving individual."

"Most deserved award she's ever had, and she worked hard for this," a third user sarcastically wrote with clapping hand emojis.

"She didn't have to pay to receive this award! She Finally won something she deserves getting!" a fourth netizen opined.

"M didn't have to pay for this award. M won this on her own merit @WME must be proud," another jokingly added.

Royal expert and author Angela Levin previously weighed in on Markle's future with WME Agency, whom she signed with to represent her last year. Prince Harry's biographer believed the talent agency could drop her due to the controversies and negative headlines plaguing her.

Meanwhile, in the first week of December, Heard topped the survey, while Markle was in second place. Prince Harry was way below the list, occupying the sixth spot. At the time, several netizens had already expressed dismay because they wanted the Sussexes in the first two spots.

"I am shocked by this article. I really thought Meghan would get 1st place," one commented. Another opined, "I believe it should be 1 Meghan, 2 Harry, 3 Amber."

A week later, Markle dethroned Heard as the most disliked celebrity. Prince Harry also ranked up from sixth to fifth position at the time.

"She's still number 1. Everyone needs to vote!!!!! Keep her at the top, where she always thinks she belongs," another user wrote with laughing emojis, encouraging others to participate in the poll and keep Markle at the top spot.

The Sussexes had a tough 2023, with The Hollywood Reporter naming them among the biggest losers in Tinseltown.

Sarah Hewson, Talk TV's royal editor, speculated that the couple was already making efforts to rebrand when they released a one-minute clip highlighting their charity works for the Archewell Foundation.

However, renowned astrologer Susan Miller, founder of Astrology Zone, said Prince Harry would still have a tough year ahead. His marriage, business partnership, or collaboration could reportedly be tested. The astrologer also saw Markle return to acting.
