Logan Paul got candid about his mental struggles in a documentary.

In an in-depth interview with Graham Bensinger for his newest documentary, "5 Months with Logan Paul," the YouTuber/WWE star opened up about the highs and lows of his career, including the "CryptoZoo" scandal.

Paul said the fallout of his NFT game and YouTuber Coffeezilla's video series about "CryptoZoo" allegedly being a scam led him to a downward spiral.

"For the first time in my life, I was having suicidal thoughts. I was just spiraling, Graham. Spiraling. I was crying, like sobbing," he told Bensinger.

"I felt weak, which is uncommon for me. I'm supposed to be the leader... I feel like I have a responsibility to be tough."

"I couldn't sleep though. That was the issue. Still, right now, I'm having trouble sleeping. I sleep like two hours a night right now," he added.

Paul launched his NFT-based game, "CryptoZoo," in 2021. The game was originally created in a way that would allow players to purchase base egg non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or unique digital assets, which could hatch and become hybrid animal NFTs.

With this, players were supposed to earn $ZOO tokens that they could use to buy more NFTs or cash out.

However, participants said that the game did not work, so a class-action lawsuit was filed against Paul and his associates in February 2023, alleging that "CryptoZoo" was a "fraudulent venture," according to NBC News.

Late in 2022, Coffeezilla released a three-part YouTube series investigating Paul's game.

"'CryptoZoo' was supposed to be a fun blockchain game that can earn you money... but millions of dollars of investor money later, things are still broken," the caption of the video series read.

Coffeezilla also interviewed some "CryptoZoo" investors/players who allegedly lost huge amounts of money from the NFT-based game.

Earlier this year, Paul announced a buy-back program to "make whole those who intended to play 'CryptoZoo.'"

"With this buy-back program, I am personally committing more than $2.3 million to buy back Base Eggs and Base Animals from every person who intended to play 'CryptoZoo.' Like you, I was highly disappointed that the game was not delivered."
