Donald Trump spoke about divorce when he showed up at a gathering recently.

The former president attended a friend's wedding rehearsal at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, last Friday. At Jarod and Alexa Malnik's rehearsal dinner, Trump seemingly gave the couple, who was about to get married, reassurance about their marriage while seemingly addressing the divorce rumors involving him and his wife, Melania Trump.

"This is a great couple," Trump, 77, told guests, an unnamed source told Page Six. "Nobody gets divorced ever when they get married at Mar-a-Lago. People, 20 years later, say it's the greatest marriage ever."

The businessman-turned-politician also wed his third wife, Melania, at Mar-a-Lago in 2005. It was unclear if Melania was present at the wedding rehearsal. Trump later posed for photos and attended the afterparty. The guests reportedly chanted Trump's name when he delivered his speech.

Trump and Melania's marriage was recently the subject of various rumors. Earlier this year, the former first couple sparked divorce rumors after they were seen leaving Melania's mom Amalija Knavs' funeral in separate cars. Also, the public noticed that the former first lady skipped most of Trump's public events.

According to insiders, Melania prefers to stay home with their son, Barron Trump, who just turned 18 on March 20. However, she would accompany her husband to some events where she's needed.

For instance, Melania skipped Trump's Super Tuesday victory party, but she was with the latter when they welcomed and hosted Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán a few days later. Melania looked gorgeous in her all-white pantsuit. She looked surprised when Orbán gave her a bouquet.

Also, Trump acknowledges his wife in his remarks even if she's not with him. While delivering his victory speech at Iowa, he praised Melania for being an "incredible wife." He also paid tribute to his late mother-in-law.

"I want to thank my incredible wife, first lady, I'll say former and maybe future," Trump said of Melania. "But more important than Melania, I want to thank her incredible, beautiful mother who passed away a few days ago, and she's up there, way up there, she's looking down, and she's so proud of us, and I just want to say to Amalija, 'You are special. One of the most special people I've ever known.'"

Trump also once said that they got along well together. When the couple was interviewed by Larry King for CNN in 2005, Trump said they never argued because they "we're just very compatible."

Melania also said there "was a great chemistry and energy" during their first meeting.

Melania's former aide, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, previously said that the Trumps had a "transactional" marriage. She clarified, however, that whatever Trump and Melania's arrangement was, "their marriage 'works' for them both."
