Legal papers acquired by ET disclosed that Emilio filed for a domestic violence protection order on April 8, naming his 90-year-old father as an extra safeguarded individual, following an alleged altercation at the singer's residence on April 5.

In the purported event, Francesco allegedly tried to forcibly enter his father's premises, "repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill" both Emilio and their father, and appropriated personal belongings with the intention to sell them. As per the submission, the claimed mistreatment is described as "part of a pattern" that has supposedly transpired over "the past several months."

"Father fears for his safety because of these threats and constant attempts to enter the father's residence," the document stated. "Respondent [Francesco] is believed to be addicted to opiates and has been reportedly selling the personal property of the father to pay for drugs."

Following a hearing in Los Angeles on April 29, a judge approved a protective order for Frankie and Emilio against Francesco. It is valid for three years until April 29, 2027.

"Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues," said Victoria Varela, a press agent for Frankie.

The protection order was issued just three days prior to Frankie being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions with the Four Seasons. During the ceremony, he was accompanied by his wife, Jackie Jacobs, as well as Emilio and his twin brother, Brando.
