Former fitness influencer-turned-author Adam Elnekaveh is sharing his miraculous story of survival after a gruesome motorcycle accident six years ago.

The then-28-year-old California-based former bodybuilder was on the verge of launching his own fitness app in 2018 when he got into a motorbike accident in Taiwan. The tragedy saw his head crack wide open with his brain tissue splattered on the road, according to The U.S. Sun.

"My family was told I would probably remain in a vegetative state. I was pronounced dead," he told the outlet in an interview.

Looking back at his motorbike accident six years ago, he acknowledged his mistakes -- one of which was refusing to wear a helmet.

He recalled that he was pulled over by cops and handed a $14 ticket minutes before the tragedy because he was not wearing a helmet.

However, he said he felt angry at being told what to do, so he sped off on his friend's motorbike and got into an accident.

After ending up bloodied and unconscious on the street, he was transferred to the hospital and was in a coma for 10 days.

While he recovered, he revealed his traumatic brain injury left him unable to speak with weak throat muscles and vocal cords that even a speech therapist working with him during his recovery doubted his ability to recover.

He said he was also told he would never be able to drive, walk, or live on his own again. But he proved all the predictions wrong.

Like the title of his book, "Rebuilding Adam: A Tragedy," with his "undying resilience," he was able to rebuild his life "brick by brick."

While the left of his body remains disabled, he can now walk, talk and even write a book. He said he's back to the dating scene, too.

"I used to be the strongest, most able athlete. People looked at me with awe. Now I'm parking my vehicle in a handicapped parking space," he said.

"The left side of my body is still disabled. So I'm limping everywhere I go. My left arm is disabled. It's just almost hanging off my body. I'm living a constant dream-like state. People that say to me, 'Oh, you're amazing, you survived, you're good.'"

His book about "the raw and honest story" of his survival is officially available on Amazon Books.
