Donald Trump Says Taylor Swift is 'Very Beautiful' While Casting Doubt On The Authenticity Of Her Liberal Beliefs
Donald Trump expressed admiration for Taylor Swift's beauty, though he seems less interested in her political stance and music.
In a recently published excerpt from the book, "Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass," Trump shared his views on the pop sensation. Specifically, he commented on Swift's physical appearance, remarking, "I think she's beautiful — very beautiful!" He reiterated: "I find her very beautiful."
In a conversation with Ramin Setoodeh, co-editor-in-chief of 'Variety' and author of the book, the former president said he "think she's liberal."
He continued: "She probably doesn't like Trump. I hear she's very talented. I think she's very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!"
Swift, 34, has been vocal about her left-leaning political views for years, particularly after Trump's election in 2016. She broke her silence on the matter approximately two years later, endorsing Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in a 2018 Instagram post.
Trump, in response to Swift's endorsement, expressed a decline in his appreciation for her music, telling reporters, "Let's just say I like Taylor's music about 25% less now, OK?"
Despite her efforts, Bredesen lost to Republican Marsha Blackburn, whom Swift referred to as "Trump in a wig" in her 2020 Netflix documentary "Miss Americana," while Cooper retained his seat.
In a recent interview, Trump, 77, who will be sentenced in July after being convicted of 34 charges of falsifying business records, questioned whether Swift's liberalism is genuine or merely a facade.

"She is liberal, or is that just an act? She's legitimately liberal? It's not an act?" he asked. "It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal."
When asked about Swift's music, Trump confessed he doesn't "know it well."
