Former Disney star Lee Thompson Young was found dead Monday in his home. He was 29.

After Young didn't show up for work on the set of TNT's Rizzoli & Isles on Monday morning, concerned staffers called his Los Angeles home to check on him. When the notified landlord opened the door to Young's apartment he found the actor's body, according to TMZ. The website also reported that the actor committed suicide by shooting himself.

"It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning," his publicist said. "Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed."
