Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam is the most recent actor to make it into the casting buzz for the role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey.

According to TWITCH, the 33-year-old English actor is reportedly being considered to don the part of the S&M-crazed CEO.

"Hunnam has emerged as producers' prime target to play, and I quote, 'handsome, yet tormented billionaire,' Christian Grey," stated the site.

Hunnam aside, other top names that have come up frequently include the likes of TRON's Garret Hedlund, Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder, and White Collar's Matt Bomer, amongst a slew of other strong contenders.

Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who's currently hard at work on the script, said that she'd be staying true to the content of author E.L. James' books with lots of sex and raunchiness. Only time will truly reveal who'll ultimately become the next Grey.

Former Boardwalk Empire standout Michael Pitt an obvious choice for Christian Grey?

The highly anticipated movie is slated to launch on the big screen on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2014. Be sure to check back for more of the latest info on the racy flick.
