The official trailer for Pompeii was released Thursday starring Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) and Emily Browning (The Uninvited, Sucker Punch),

The 3D film, which is directed by Paul W. S. Anderson (Resident Evil: After Life), is an epic saga centered around the romance between Milo (Harrington) and Cassia (Browning) set in the days leading up to the eruption of Pompeii's Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Milo is a slave on a ship heading for Naples who is working to get home and save his true love - his master's daughter Cassia - and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside the city's colosseum. The film also stars Kiefer Sutherland and Jared Harris (Mad Men, Resident Evil).

Sutherland portrays a Roman senator who enslaves Harington's village. He forces the merchant to give his daughter's hand in marriage to him. Harris will be playing the role of the merchant and Harington's master, while Browning is his daughter.

Harris is also starring in the action-adventure fantasy film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which is currently running in theaters and starring Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers and Lena Headey.

Harington dominates the below teaser, with a few glimpses of Browning. The Australian actress got her first breakthrough role in Hollywood as Violet Baudelaire in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The film is set to release in February of 2014. Watch the trailer below.
