Scammers are targeting Justin Bieber fans by spreading false rumors about the star on Facebook. Most recently, rumors of Justin Bieber being stabbed by a crazed fan outside a N.Y.C. nightclub had Beliebers worried and shaken for his safety. However, it was all a scam posting on Facebook which read: "Justin Bieber stabbed by a crazed fan outside a NYC nightclub." The post even came with an image showing a backside of a wounded man. When users clicked on the image, it redirected to a survey page which benefitted the scammers. Their goal is to drive more traffic to the sites and earn commission through each survey committed, or from gaining any personal information about a user.

This is not the first time the scammers had struck. Back in December 2011, an identical hoax circulated the web, but that time it "Justin Bieber STABBED By CRAZED Fan Outside L.A. NightClub!" It also came with a gruesome screenshot of a huge bloodied gash down a young man's back.

Nevertheless, the recent scam angered Bieber fans as they took to Twitter to vent. "I can't believe people started a rumor that Justin Bieber got stabbed with gruesome pic of someone... with their back slashed," posted Manwigs.

Some posted their relief about the rumor being false. "Okay okay Justin Bieber being stabbed is a terrible lie," wrote DaJuan. "Happy 2 report this."

Bieber is currently working on his latest Album, "Believe", which is scheduled to be released next month. The album will reportedly feature Drake, Ludacris, Taylor Swift and Kanye West. A song about the girl who claimed to have his baby is also said to be included in the album, according to reports. Mariah Yeater caused a media sensation last year when she claimed that Bieber fathered her son.
